Well, it's been a long time since I've last used this account. Maybe time for some catching up?

I've been working full-time as a "Flash Animator" for a very well-known and successful children's entertainment website for the last three and a half years. When I say "Flash Animator", I use the term rather loosely as I wasn't doing just animation but also illustration, graphic design, interface design, character design and pretty much everything else one can think of. I've found that the problem with working at the same place for over three and a half years is that one starts to get into a rut.

So I've taken the opportunity to resign and work on my own projects again. I'm hoping to create a portfolio that really shows off my varied talents and skills, and hopefully I'll be able to get into bigger and better work. It'll be a bit of a challenge, I think... after more than three and a half years working with only one specific style, getting back into my own groove is going to prove interesting. XD Still, my experience has really taught me a lot and I've already noticed vast improvements in stuff I've started to do over the last bit.

I've already done a couple sketches so I figured I'd upload them as time passes. I'm planning on coloring them in; something I've still got a bit of ways to go yet. If it's cell shading, I can do that without any problem and it'll look great, but it's the painted look I'd really love to get down. All of the concept artists at the company I'm leaving are so incredible, they just blow me away. Maybe I can get some pointers before I depart. ;3

In any case, expect there to be some updates over time. It'll just be somewhat messy sketches for now but in time, I'll get around to uploading polished ones as they're completed. :3
